Emerald Passport - Scam or Legitimate Opportunity

First off, I'm going to be totally up front here. I certainly won't say how I was skeptical of the Emerald Passport program then joined up and every thing was wonderful. I wouldn't insult your intelligences .

What this article about, is an honest up front review about the program, so you can make up your own mind.

Impression At First Glance

The impression of the website at first glance was a good one. There are similarities to another program with which they are competing with and that is the "the flash videos". Being easy on the eye is a critical component in the direct marketing business and Emerald Passport has certainly come up trumps in that department

The Program

Here are a few details on how the program works. So lets dig in. Now, $1295 gets you in, plus a $99 distributor fee and that gives you the right to earn commissions of 75% . Emerald Passport products are called Webucational materials and consist of financial, wealth, insurance and self help products and come in the form of ecourses, audio and video classes.

So what do you get? A replicated system that has a pretty neat website with a very enticing video presentation. These is no doubt that the conversion rate would be higher with the captivating flash video . So, when it comes to marketing the Emerald Passport business this would be the biggest selling point.

The Downside

You do get paid instantly, but not on the first 2 sales. Emerald Passport is a 2-up program, commonly called an Aussie 2-up plan. What this means for you is, your first 2 sales go directly to your sponsor.

Now this can be extremely disheartening, because you have to put in the effort, time and money to get those 2 sales, just to hand them over to someone else, the high income earners will tell that this is actually a good thing because this is how you will earn your commission. But, if your pretty new to marketing those first two sales can be the most difficult.

So what has it cost you so far? $1295 + $99 distributor fee + $2000 in commission that you gave up. Now thats $3394 and doesn't take into account any monies spent to get the first 2 sales. This is before you even see a profit.

So what happens after your first 2 sales? well your no longer of any benefit to your sponsor, now your in direct competition and will no longer receive any help from them. The Emerald Passport program doesn't create team synergy.

In conclusion while I don't consider Emerald Passport a scam, I do however think with this type of business the average person might find it extremely difficult to be financially successful. But, if finances aren't a problem and your an experienced marketer this could be for you.
